Meet the Family

Jodie Knight

Owner, Trainer, Camp Director

Jodie is the owner and founder at Knight's Ridge Riding Center. She cares with patience and guides with experience. She has been a part of Halifax County for over 20 years and has many connections to the community. She is certified by the Horsemanship Association and continues to use this knowledge to help students learn and grow to their full potential on the farm.

April is a Walking Horse Cross, known for her patient attitude and beautiful canter. From only six months old to now April has been a precious part of Jodie's life.

Alibi is a Red Roan Quarter Horse and a rescue from Kentucky. Since her time at Knight's, Alibi has become a joy to ride with her beautiful spirit and patient attitude.

Bandit is a Black and White Paint. Possibly more concerned with eating than working, his personality will never fail to make you laugh.

Bud joined Knight's Ridge Riding Center in the beginning. He has stuck around to stay a lot longer. While on the older side, Bud still has a lot of energy and compassion to give.

Experienced, trustworthy, fun. These are just a few of the ways Cadillac could be described. He is truly a joy to be around. Cadillac is a Walking Horse.

Cheyenne is an Appendix Quarter Horse and is dun colored. She and her brother Cowboy really know how to have fun. Beautiful and somewhat of a diva, Cheyenne is an amazing individual.

Lady is a hard worker, in her prime, and a beautiful show horse. She has a soft heart and always gives her all for her rider while caring for them well.

Sophia is a Paint Pony and belongs to Jodie Knight.  Sophia is a sweet and confident pony for young riders.

A Quarter Horse, Freckle has adorable face spots and a wise gentlemen personality. He is used in our lesson program for all levels of riders and is great on the trials.

Cowboy (big brother to Cheyenne) is also a dun Appendix Quarter Horse. He is fun, curious, and quite a character.
